Healshape wins i-Nov competition for its UR SHAPE project, a 100% natural and resorbable breast bioprosthesis
The Atlanpole Biotherapies competitiveness cluster congratulates Healshape, a member of the cluster, whose UR SHAPE project has been certified by Atlanpole Biotherapies and has just won the i-Nov innovation competition organised by Bpifrance as part of the France 2030 plan. This distinction marks a major milestone in the development of this Lyon-based start-up, which also has a presence in Nantes, and highlights a breakthrough innovation in women’s health.
In this Pink October month, the UR SHAPE project, led by Sophie Brac de la Perrière, founder of Healshape, resonates particularly strongly. It is a 100% natural and resorbable breast bioprosthesis for women who have undergone a mastectomy after breast cancer. This unique bioprosthesis regenerates the patient’s own tissue before resorbing naturally, offering breast reconstruction without permanent foreign bodies, which is more respectful of the body and the healing process.
Classified as a Class III medical device and protected by a portfolio of patents, UR SHAPE is currently at an intermediate stage of preclinical development. The support of the i-Nov competition will enable Healshape to finalise the preclinical phase, prepare for entry into the clinical phase and reach a decisive milestone towards market launch, with the aim of obtaining CE marking and FDA authorisation.
This success fully illustrates Atlanpole Biotherapies’ mission: to support and certify innovative projects that combine scientific excellence, societal impact and international ambition in the service of tomorrow’s health.
