Partnering with patients associations

At Healshape, patients are at the core of our mission. We believe true innovation in breast reconstruction begins by truly listening to those who experience it.

Regenerating the body after a mastectomy is both a medical and emotional journey, which is why we collaborate closely with patient associations to create solutions that are scientifically advanced and deeply aligned with real needs and expectations.

Reconstruction Dilemma

Breast
reconstruction:

Today, only 30% women opt for reconstruction, because no satisfactory solutions are available

Traditional mastectomy reconstruction is perceived as:

  • Risky, long & painful
  • With complications or unaesthetic
  • All women are not eligible to flap/lipofilling techniques

70% of women do not opt for reconstruction after mastectomy with all the negative impacts it may bring:
  • Loss of physical integrity
  • Difficult social / sexual / working life
  • Anxiety & depression

Reconstruction is not one-size-fits-all

Every woman’s experience is unique, and so are her hopes, fears, and goals. By engaging with patient advocates and associations, we gain critical insights into:

  • The emotional and physical challenges of post-mastectomy recovery
  • The desire for natural, body-friendly alternatives to traditional implants
  • The importance of simplicity, safety, and sustainability in surgical options

These insights shape our product design, clinical approach, and communication, ensuring that our innovations are not only effective, but truly meaningful

“The Healshape project brings a new dimension to patient care, a new approach to reconstruction, a natural, simple, innovative and reassuring solution. Doesn’t hope give life a whole new meaning?”
